Learning about Sustainability at VenuesNow Conference
VenuesNow Conference’s first day will include sustainability content, ranging from sustainability leadership in Las Vegas sports and entertainment organizations, to dialogue about strategies to monetize sustainability. This content was carefully curated, in partnership with GOAL (Green Operations & Advanced Leadership).
GOAL is a sustainability network for live event venues, founded in 2021 in partnership between Oak View Group, Fenway Sports Group, the Atlanta Hawks, and Jason F. McLennan. GOAL is the industry’s only sustainability data & benchmarking platform, and has developed a sustainable operations roadmap – the GOAL Standard – designed specifically to enable recognition of sustainability efforts in live event venues.
VenuesNow Conference is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint and elevating its social impact, wherever possible. We invite you to join us on this journey.
FOOD & BEVERAGE:
- We are committed to avoiding single-use plastic. Take note of our reusable or compostable serveware.
- We support local Las Vegas businesses through food, beverage, and staffing partnerships.
CREATE YOUR OWN SUSTAINABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Take public transit by visiting the Las Vegas Monorail website.
- When booking travel and transportation:
- Look for the Eco-certified hotel badge on Google when selecting accommodations.
- Use Lyft Green or Uber Green ride options — search for “Green” when choosing your car in the app.
- Carpool with a colleague or a new friend to/from events around town.
- Bring your own reusable coffee mug and/or water bottle to the event.
- Use a tablet or computer instead of a notepad: Save your notes in cloud-based storage.
